There are hundreds of religions in the world. Some religions are very similar to others and they all have something in common with other religions. I have been raised catholic. My dad was raised catholic and he wanted me to be raised catholic. Sometimes I wonder what other religions are like. Are they strict? Are they fun? Are they completely ridiculous? In the real world it is difficult to experience a different religion first hand. Second Life is much easier. You can learn about many different religions first hand in one day. Many religions are available in second life including Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

Introduction

Have you ever woke up on a Sunday morning and not wanted to get up, get dressed , or go to church? Well, with the help from a virtual environment you would not have to. You would just have to simply, turn on your computer. This is only one example of a ritual that many people perform on a weekly basis. We all perform rituals whether we know it or not. To some of us a ritual may be getting up and eating the same breakfast every morning. Some rituals are more complicated than others but one fact remains true ; Rituals, whether they are life changing, daily, or simply going to church, can be experienced in a virtual environment

When I first got to Info Island all I saw was landmarks. There was too many to count. I met up with Kirk mnemonic and Cuong mnemonic and we began looking around . First we went to Peace Park. After that we walked around the Obama Election Area. We then talked to the library assistant and took a picture with her. Finally, we stopped by the gay and lesbian area and took a picture with a monument there.

My avatars name is Connor Mnemonic. He has dark brown hair that goes down to his eyes. His eyes are light grey. He is wearing blue jeans that are not baggy but they are not very tight either. He is wearing and adidash shirt. The emblem is green. He is about 70 inches tall. He is not very large but he is not that small either. He is about average build.
I have changed some of the clothes my avatar is wearing. I changed his shirt and kept the jeans that were already on there. I changed his build a little and I changed the color of his eyes. At first I thought he looked a bit odd. The way the avatar stands seems a bit awkward.
I use the same appearance on my avatar every time I log in. It is a hassle to change how he looks because I am not very skilled yet in second life. I have not spent any money on my avatar yet. I just used some of the freebies. I have not yet been able to change the color of my avatars hair because I do not know how. I will learn how to do that though before too long.

Hello. My name is Jacob Connor. I am a freshman here at UCM this year. I am an Exercise Science major and I am planning on becoming a physical therapist. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin but was raised in Missouri. My main hobbies include football and basketball. i have heard of second life but i am not very familiar with it. I am interested in seeing what second life will bring.
